1) So, what is all this?

We, as a community of friends, story tellers and LARPers, have come together to continue the story of a game we love. The story of Ushaw Moor has always been player driven, and as such, it belongs to the community that has made it.

We have built a supporting structure for the game with an emphasis on community awareness and participation. The core values of the organization are Respect, Integrity, Reliability, and Fun. We have the goals of communication, consistency, fun (yes, again!), and fostering trust and a sense of community. The organization will remain accountable to its own philosophy and policy.

Yes, the story of Ushaw Moor continues in Shadow Accord where it leaves off in the final game of Mortal Tears.

3) What is the game schedule for Shadow Accord?

Our dates for 2010 are:

* January 15-17 * March 12-14 * May 14-16 * June 18-20 * September 17-19 * November 5-7

4) Will you hold the game at Camp Brinkley?

Yes, we have reserved Camp Brinkley for our events.

5) Will I be welcomed as a player?

Any player of Mortal Tears is welcome. New players are also welcome.

6) Can I keep playing my characters?

Yes, all characters available to you as of the final game of Mortal Tears will continue to be honored in Shadow Accord. Characters that have died a permanent death may not be brought back.

7) Will I still have my experience points (XP)?

Yes, you may carry over your XP from the final game of Mortal Tears.

8) What rules system will be used?

The rules system created by Biomechine Productions for Mortal Tears was the basis for our rules. We have created an updated version of the ruleset based on input from the playership. This ruleset is in the draft phase and is due to be released soon. The playership has been given a chance to review and give input on all changes that have gone into this ruleset thus far.

9) Is this game intended to compete with another LARP?

No, this game is not intended to compete with any other LARP. It is simply an effort to continue a game we love to play.

10) Can staff of another game be staff in this game?

A person's work in another game will not preclude them from holding a position of responsibility in this game so long as they can carry out their duties without conflict of interest.

11) Will you accept donations of garb, props or items?

Donation requests are currently posted in the Deco and Safety Team forum!

12) I have an opinion/suggestion/comment. What are the avenues I can use to make staff aware of it?
